An A record connects your website’s domain name (like yourbusiness.com) to the server where your website is hosted by pointing it to a specific IP address. Put simply, it tells the internet where to find your website when someone types in your web address.
While we can’t list explicit directions for every registrar, they all tend to follow this pattern: Log into your registrar’s dashboard, look for a section called “DNS Management” or “DNS Records” to add/edit A records. Keep in mind that the changes can take minutes to ~24 hours to propagate globally, so don’t worry if you don’t see your site instantly.
