It’s no secret that we Ogres love our hometown of Pensacola, Florida.
We’re thrilled at the amazing transformation that’s occurred along Palafox Street over the last decade. So, when the opportunity to help one of our favorite downtown events showed up in our inbox, we jumped at the chance to create a modern, feature-packed website for our friends at Gallery Night Pensacola.
GNP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing thousands of visitors to the streets and businesses of Downtown Pensacola every month. Featuring the talents of Gulf Coast artists and craftspeople, local food trucks and performers, downtown merchants and area charities, the monthly events showcase much of what makes our Gulf Coast city such a great place to live.
While GNP is fantastic at “Taking Art to the Streets” each month, the organization’s old website wasn’t taking anything anywhere. The outdated design, confusing navigation and frustration at an onerous and time-consuming system for editing site content led the GNP board to shutter the website altogether in 2018.
We felt an organization so dedicated to serving the people of Pensacola deserved better, so we stepped up to the plate with big ideas and our famous OgreEnthusiasm.
We created a fun, functional, mobile-optimized website that's as easy to navigate as it is to update.
CleverOgre created the new Gallery Night Pensacola website with an organized layout, simplified UX and engaging graphics. On mobile and desktop devices the most important information — including a countdown timer for each month’s event — is front and center.
Monthly event themes, featured artists and the GPS-enabled map of event locations are all presented with easy-to-use interfaces and attention-grabbing calls-to-action. Content-driven SEO is bolstered with keyword-rich meta tags, page descriptions and structured data.

The homepage gets right to the point with date, time and theme information for upcoming Gallery Night events.
Highlighting Featured Artists
Each month’s Featured Artist page includes image galleries to show off their work, as well as links to the artist’s website and social media profiles.
GPS-Enabled Map
We built a GPS-enabled interactive map to show the location of every artist, stage and food truck at monthly events, as well as downtown merchants, parking and points of interest.
Easy Application Forms
Custom-built forms guide would-be participants, sponsors, merchants and donors through the application process with clear field labels, help text and confirmations.
